Barry has over 30 years of experience as a coach, facilitator and leader with large organizations. Barry led FranklinCovey’s Learning Expedition Center–which developed hundreds of sales people and consultants. He also served as the Vice President of Organizational Development for Metatec Corporation and as a performance consultant at CompuServe, Inc. Barry brings an uncommon combination of insight, passion, practicality, and fun to learning. He regularly speaks and trains internationally, having led programs in 15 countries with participants representing over 50 different nations. His clients have included Procter & Gamble, Microsoft Corporation, Johnson & Johnson, Honeywell, Coinstar, Toyota, Foodmakers, Intel, Nike, University of Texas Medical Branch, and the U.S. Army.
Dennis was a co-founder of the Franklin Institute–which eventually became FranklinCovey–and helped build this company into over $500 million business. He understands the issues that leaders continually face. He has founded a number of successful businesses in different industries including ContentWatch, Candeo, New Look International, Western Capital and Whitmark, Miller Funding and other real estate companies. He is a much sought-after speaker on a wide range of topics. He has trained clients from numerous Fortune 500 companies, including Merrill Lynch, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Dow Chemical, and Citibank. Dennis also founded charitable organizations including Southern Virginia University, the MesoAmerican Research Foundation and the Lighthouse Foundation. Dennis has a BS in finance, a BS in management, and a BA in political science from the University of Utah. He has an MBA from George Washington University. He worked in the US House of Representatives for both the House Ways and Means Committee and the Military Appropriations Committee. Dennis is also the Mayor of the City of Holladay, Utah.
